A kind of magic occurs when African musicians get together. Track four on vancouver-based star Alpha Diallo's latest proves it. Recorded during a trip he took to his birthplace of Conraky, Guinea. "Me Djedjima" features close friend Doura Berry and his sister Sona harmonizing over raw acoustic backing. This beautiful moment is key to "The Best of Both Worlds", a documentary on Diallo's life. West African guitar legend Ousmane Kouyate (Salif Keita. etc) joins Diallo on Track eight, turning The Journey into an African guitar hero summit.
